PixelJunk Eden is a single-player platformer set among sprawling gardens of vivid, otherworldly plant life. You guide a nimble Grimp through each stage, exploring and growing its garden while searching for hidden Spectra. The premise makes the environment more than scenery: progress comes from moving through a living, changing space.
Swinging, climbing and jumping are central to traversal. Giant plants grow beneath you and become platforms to ride or launch from, while pollen gathers and Pollen Prowlers provide hazards to contend with. Gardens also bring distinct puzzles, enemies and challenges, with elements such as cannons, zero-gravity sections, mirror-world warps and gusting wind changing the feel of a route. The Steam version describes mouse controls reimagined for PC, plus Quick Warp for returning to a recent jump position and a continue feature that lets players resume from the last Spectra taken on a stage.
Its identity also rests on a deliberately coordinated audiovisual style, pairing a minimal techno soundtrack with distinctive graphics created by artist Baiyon. The Steam listing includes the gardens from Eden and its Encore expansion, framing the PC edition as a complete set of those stage environments alongside its PC-specific control features.
