Pilam Sky is a single-player action game set across a continent shared by the Chuns, Hussians, and Burmese, whose balloons and special attacks differ. After choosing a pilot, players manage an airship base and select missions from a global map as pirate forces threaten the kingdoms. The campaign is a balancing act: battles can slow the attacks, while defensive towers reduce pirate strength, so choosing where and when to intervene matters.
In real-time battles, pilots steer their balloons, attack nearby foes with spears or an anchor, and fire guns at range. Each nation also has its own special attack, while bonuses can provide support such as restoring balloon health or striking visible enemies. Victories earn coins, which can fund room improvements, ammunition, and further bonuses. The action shifts in two additional mission types: building a defensive tower while fighting, and firing from a completed tower to stop pirates reaching the ground.
The airship’s rooms develop over time, and campaign choices carry risk because a kingdom can be lost if pirate strength reaches its limit. The stated route to the final mission involves improving the intelligence room or building towers, bringing the strategic and combat sides together.
