PGA TOUR 2K23 frames golf around both the professional tour and the freedom to shape a course of your own. In MyCAREER, players take a MyPLAYER onto the PGA TOUR, compete against tour pros, and pursue the FedExCup. The roster also includes male and female professionals such as Tiger Woods, while licensed venues bring courses including East Lake, TPC Scottsdale, and TPC Sawgrass into play.
Its swing choices give the central shot-making a distinct hands-on focus: players can use the traditional analog Swing Stick or switch to a three-click system. Skills and Archetypes develop a MyPLAYER, and the TrueShot System, shot suggestions, and Lie Management add guidance and control. Away from the tour, the Course Designer lets players build fantasy layouts from thousands of customizable objects and share creations for online or local play.
The format ranges from solo play to local and online competition. Topgolf supports solo sessions or groups of up to four, while match options include Stroke Play, Skins, Alt-Shot, and four-player Scramble; Divot Derby offers a single-elimination shoot-out. Online Societies extend play into managed tournaments and full seasons, with configurable entry rules, handicaps, and event options.
