Peglin turns a fantasy grievance into a run-based adventure: dragons have stolen the protagonist’s gold, and the journey leads through the woods, a fortress and into the dragons’ lair. Its stated blend of Peggle and Slay the Spire sets up a distinctive mix of bouncing-shot action and roguelike stakes, where defeat ends the run.
Combat uses Pachinko-like shots: striking more pegs deals more damage, while orbs bring special effects and relics can affect both enemies and the physics of play. Players collect and upgrade these tools, and must use crit potions, refresh potions and bombs wisely against monsters and bosses. A new map each time brings different orbs, enemies and surprises, giving successive attempts varied encounters rather than a fixed sequence.
Its central appeal is the tactical adjustment of each shot and build: choose how to use limited items, work with the available orbs and relics, and try to reclaim the stolen treasure before a run ends.
