Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a single-player isometric computer RPG set in the Pathfinder tabletop universe. Its central ambition is to claim the Stolen Lands and build a kingdom there, in a region marked by rival nations, dangerous wilderness and a long history of competing realms. The adventure draws on classic computer role-playing games, but its focus extends beyond a journey through ruins: the player’s character is also responsible for shaping a realm.
Character creation offers classes, specialized archetypes, spells, skills and feats, letting players build a hero or villain around a preferred style and personality. Companions have their own agendas, alignments and goals, so choosing whom to trust is part of the story. Exploration and dungeon crawling sit alongside diplomacy, court politics and kingdom development. As the realm expands, players can claim territories and establish towns; decisions, policies and alliances also affect the capital’s appearance. Kingdom management therefore connects the wider political challenge to the character’s choices rather than serving as a separate setting detail.
The Enhanced Plus Edition description also notes additions and usability improvements, including an enhanced kingdom management system.
