Patch Quest sends players into Patchlantis, a jungle maze where nature has reclaimed an ancient civilisation and a powerful storm reshuffles the patchwork terrain each night. Its mix of roguelike, metroidvania and monster-taming ideas gives exploration a distinctive rhythm: a run can end in defeat, returning you to base camp, while unlocked shortcuts and earned powerups help prepare for deeper attempts.
The Lasso is central to both traversal and combat. Players can mount monsters and use their individual skills, including abilities suited to flying, swimming or crossing hazardous ground. The creatures also bring their own strength to fights, while collecting plants and minerals, gathering ammo fruits and blending them into smoothies, and earning exploration gadgets add further tools to the expedition. The maze’s shifting layout makes those abilities relevant to finding a route through its dangers, rather than simply building a collection.
Patch Quest is listed with single-player and multiplayer categories, including co-op and shared or split-screen co-op. Between expeditions, collecting monsters and opening shortcuts connects the immediate challenge of survival to the longer effort to explore more of the island.
