OUTBRK is a storm-chasing simulation set in a fictional recreation of America’s tornado alley. Its premise puts players in the role of professional chasers, navigating severe weather to collect valuable data. Random scenarios based on real-life weather events give each outing a changing setup, while competition with other chasers places the pursuit in a multiplayer context.
The danger comes from both the storms and the route through them: players must contend with tornadoes, torrential rain and other extreme-weather hazards. Risk management is central to the chase, tying decisions about confronting dangerous conditions to the goal of gathering data. The game’s 625-square-kilometer map includes rivers, canyons, plains, towns and forests, giving the weather-chasing premise a broad range of landscapes.
OUTBRK lists single-player, multiplayer and online co-op, so its play format spans solo chasing as well as sessions involving other players. Vehicle progression adds another layer: chasers can buy vehicles, upgrade them and customize them.
