Out of Time frames survival as a frantic squad effort in a world where past, present, and future collide. Players battle corrupted enemies and bosses across collapsing eras, including a Medieval forest and the Wasteland’s deserts. Its runs are presented as short, high-pressure bursts of combat, with escalating threats and shifting, era-blending maps making each outing distinct.
Teamwork is built into the Tether System: stay close to share buffs, healing, and stats, while splitting up puts the whole squad at risk. Gear shapes each character rather than locking players into fixed roles. Weapons and sets support damage, healing, buffs, or tanking, and the game describes a wide range of possible builds. Temporal Anomalies add further complications, with modifiers such as a Blood Moon or Toxic Cloud changing the rules on affected levels.
The format combines online co-op runs with Infinitopia, an MMO-like hub where players can meet, show off gear, plan builds, and prepare for another expedition. The store lists single-player as well as multiplayer and online co-op, while describing the core cooperative systems as supporting up to four players.
