Only Climb: Better Together is a platforming game about climbing from a children’s junkyard toward the sky, with the wider world framed as a puzzling place to explore. Its challenge is built around persistence: there is no save function, and a misstep can send a climber back to the beginning. Hidden dumpsters and lifts give the ascent its own landmarks, while Easter eggs and references reward attention along the way.
The route is not simply a sequence of jumps. Dumpsters act as trampolines for gaining height, lifts carry players to higher levels, and objects may behave unpredictably. A day-and-night cycle changes the setting, while the option to push other players adds a competitive edge to the climb. The game supports solo play as well as cooperative and competitive play with friends, so the central obstacle can be approached alone or as a shared effort.
Teams can include up to eight people, with players able to work together or compete as they tackle the ascent. The no-save design makes the climb’s emphasis on caution and perseverance especially clear, whether players choose to face its hazards by themselves or alongside friends.
