Oh Deer is a multiplayer hide-and-seek game built around an uneven contest: one player hunts while as many as four others take the role of deer.
The hunter searches with sound, gadgets, and skill, trying to identify player-controlled deer among AI animals before nightfall. For the deer, survival depends on blending into those animals and managing hunger by eating. Food creates a risky decision: the right need must be met, but poor timing can give the hunter an opening. The possibility of mistaking a real player for an AI deer is central to the pursuit.
Its forest setting supports that deception with trees, bushes, flowers, and shade that offer places to hide or stage an ambush. The game’s core design therefore pairs active tracking with concealment and careful timing, rather than treating hide-and-seek as a simple search. With one hunter facing a small team of deer, the player count reflects the asymmetrical roles at the heart of each match.
