Noobs Are Coming casts the player as the final boss of an MMORPG, turning the familiar wave-survival setup into a chance to defend the other side of the encounter. Its roguelike design centers on making a new, potentially overpowered build each run, with five difficulty settings and an Endless Mode for players who want a continuing challenge.
The game’s character and attack variety shapes those builds: it lists 45 playable characters with distinct gameplay and effects, plus more than 70 weapons and attacks. Some attacks draw on boss patterns, while the described arsenal also includes minions and plant monsters that can be grown with a watering can or a cloud spell. More than 150 items add further possibilities for combinations and synergies, giving each run room to experiment with different setups.
Noobs Are Coming supports solo play as well as multiplayer, including local co-op for up to four players and Steam Remote Play Together. Its quick runs are described as lasting under 30 minutes, and unlockables offer additional goals beyond assembling a strong build.
