Neon White casts you as White, an assassin pulled from Hell and brought to Heaven to compete against other demon slayers for a chance at redemption and a permanent place there. The contest frames a fast first-person action game, while the other assassins offer a personal mystery: they seem familiar, raising the question of whether White knew them in a past life.
Its defining mechanic is the Soul Card. Cards can be used to attack demons or discarded to trigger distinctive movement abilities, making each one a choice between fighting and getting through the environment in a different way. The game’s speed-focused design encourages players to combine cards cleverly, find substantial shortcuts, and compete for the best times. That blend of combat, movement, and route discovery gives its action a time-trial character rather than making demon extermination the sole focus.
Neon White is single-player, with Steam Leaderboards supporting competition over times without changing its individual campaign format.
