Myth of Empires sets its sandbox in a world shaped by the Zhongzhou, Dongzhou, and Xizhou, with the Jiuzhou, Hellas, and Shah civilizations offering distinct traditions and strengths. Rather than following one prescribed path, players choose how to develop their character and build an empire amid changing day-and-night conditions and varied ecosystems.
Its crafting and recruitment systems connect settlement-building to survival and battle. More than 1,300 recipes support the creation of equipment and structures, while players can subdue and recruit NPCs and tame animals, including horses and elite Beast Lords. Those companions can assist with combat and transportation. Armies can then take part in warfare on land, in the air, and at sea, with fortresses, weapons, armor, and siege equipment shaping the conflict.
The game also links personal progression to organized competition: its 25 development paths and 16-tier Nobility system sit alongside guild diplomacy, territorial expansion, and cross-server Fortress Battles.
