MXGP 2021 is a motocross racing game built around the official MXGP and MX2 2021 seasons. Its career begins in MX2, where players can create a team or join an official one and work toward becoming an MXGP champion. Results shape game progression and influence contracts with teams and sponsors, giving the racing a longer-term competitive framework beyond individual events.
The game combines licensed championship racing with tools for personal expression. It features more than 40 riders, 2021 season bikes, teams and tracks, alongside three tracks from earlier competitions. A track editor lets players choose terrain and customize a course, while more than 100 authentic brands provide options for customizing bikes and riders. The Playground offers open-ended riding, and Waypoint mode lets players set a route by arranging checkpoints before racing or challenging friends online.
Players can race on custom tracks, create online events and take part in Race Director mode, where they interact with other players. The game’s appeal therefore spans structured progression, course-building and head-to-head motocross, rather than resting on one fixed format.
