MX Bikes is a realistic motocross simulator whose central draw is the feel and setup of the motorcycle. Its scratch-built physics engine models motorcycle dynamics, while a tyre model described as industry-standard and chassis-flex simulation give the bike’s behavior a detailed mechanical foundation. Riders can also select gestures, adding control over how the rider moves during a run.
The track itself is part of the challenge: terrain can deform dynamically, and wet terrain and weather are simulated. Beyond riding, players can paint the bike and riding gear. Tools and documentation support advanced users who want to create and integrate tracks, bikes, helmets, protections, and other additions, making customization and community-made content part of the game’s design.
MX Bikes supports single-player as well as online and LAN racing, including hosted or joined online races. It has no AI riders or career mode; during events, it collects data for comparing rider statistics.
