Murky Divers casts players as a cleanup crew sent into Pharma Corps’ abandoned underwater laboratories. The job is to recover corpses from the wrecks and destroy evidence of failed experiments, turning an unsettling premise into a hazardous salvage operation. Its ocean setting is more than scenery: creatures threaten divers, and oxygen can run short, so getting the team and its cargo back to the submarine is part of the challenge.
The submarine’s limited visibility gives coordination a distinctive role. It relies on sonar and onboard stations for navigation, while the crew pilots toward scattered lab sites and watches for dangers in the open water. At each wreck, a caddie helps extract bodies; recovered remains can be fed into a shredder for credits. Those earnings support preparations for later expeditions, including items, upgrades and submarine modules. Procedurally generated wrecks add variety to the abandoned sites, while proximity voice chat and immersive 3D audio suit a game built around working together under pressure.
Play is structured around solo or cooperative submarine expeditions, with the available sub types accommodating different team sizes, including crews of up to eight. Between missions, players can customize their look and unlock diving suits through missions or activities, alongside choices that let them prepare for the next trip below.
