Motor Town: Behind The Wheel frames driving as both a quiet open-road pastime and a collection of practical jobs. Its open world runs through day and night, with hitchhikers to pick up, fuel to manage and engine temperature to check. Players can take on passenger and cargo transportation, alongside special vehicle work such as police, towing and ambulance jobs. That blend of routine driving and varied assignments gives the game a broader identity than a track-focused racer.
The handling is built around realistic tire physics, with grip and drifting central to the driving feel. Keyboard players have a Burnout control for sending the rear sideways, while driving assists and support for controllers, steering wheels, mouse and keyboard offer different ways to handle the vehicles. Beyond work, players can try time attacks and autocross, race on road or off road, or organize a street race by setting waypoints. Online leaderboards give time attacks a competitive dimension.
Play can be solitary or shared: the game lists single-player and multiplayer, including cooperative and competitive online categories. Players can also create a company, establish bus or truck routes, and hire an AI driver or another player.
