MORDHAU casts players as mercenaries in a fictional but realistic medieval world, with battles staged from a first- or third-person perspective. Its scale ranges from small engagements to large clashes, giving the combat room to shift between individual duels and crowded frontline fighting.
The game’s melee system emphasizes direct control over a character and their attacks, letting players develop a personal fighting style. Ranged weapons, cavalry, ladders and siege engines broaden the ways to take part, while character customization covers facial features, weapon components and individual armor pieces. The result is a battlefield built around both close combat and practical choices about how to equip and position a warrior.
MORDHAU also offers distinct ways to play: Frontline and Invasion center on player-versus-player battles, while cooperative Horde pits friends against waves of enemies; offline practice against AI is available as well.
