In Monument Valley, players guide Ida, a silent princess on a quest for forgiveness, through surreal architectural worlds. Its calm, meditative presentation makes exploration part of the appeal: each handcrafted monument is inspired by minimalist 3D design, optical illusions, and ancient architecture. Rather than relying on speed or combat, the game invites players to pause and examine how a landscape might be rearranged.
The central puzzles turn perspective into a tool. Players manipulate monuments and transform scenery by pushing, pulling, clicking, raising, or lowering structures, revealing routes that initially seem impossible. Ida must also outwit the Crow People, who obstruct her path. These changing environments give the puzzles their distinctive character: progress comes from spotting a new relationship between shapes and paths, then altering the structure to make that route traversable.
This PC edition is described as a collection containing every chapter, add-on, and DLC, with panoramic artwork and support for several display formats. Its accessible, click-based exploration is designed for players of varied ages and experience levels, while the shifting illusions reward careful observation.
