Momodora: Moonlit Farewell follows Momo Reinol, the High Priestess of Koho, on a mission to investigate an ominous bell and find the bellringer summoning demons. The danger reaches beyond the village: Momo’s search is also meant to protect the sacred Lun Tree, a source of life and healing. Set five years after Momodora III, this installment frames its crisis as a concluding story in the series while aiming to remain enjoyable without prior knowledge of the earlier games.
Combat centers on melee combos, dodging attacks and firing arrows, with customizable Sigils supporting different play styles. Boss battles provide a sharper test, while adjustable difficulty lets players choose between a more relaxed exploration pace and a tougher challenge. Pixel art and animation shape the presentation, and the world’s lore and atmosphere give exploration a prominent place alongside action.
The game is listed as single-player, so its play format is a solo journey through Koho’s threatened world rather than a shared-session experience.
