MineMogul is a physics-based automation sandbox about designing and building a factory deep underground. Its setting is more than a backdrop: players explore the hollowed remains of a forgotten cave system, uncover resources and secrets, and build among abandoned mining operations. That mix of factory construction and subterranean exploration frames the game’s central task as making productive use of an unfamiliar space.
The factory takes shape through interconnected machines and conveyors routed through twisting mineshafts. Players mine resources, buy machines, and arrange equipment to automate production, while the physics simulation can send parts scattering or leave conveyors overflowing. The design challenge is therefore both logistical and reactive: optimize machine placement, revise layouts, and find solutions when the system becomes disorderly.
MineMogul is listed as single-player, so its factory-building format is focused on an individual player exploring and managing a growing underground operation. Its appeal, as described, rests on connecting machines, discovering opportunities in the caverns, and keeping a sprawling production network working amid unpredictable physics.
