Mindustry blends factory construction, tower defense, and real-time strategy into a campaign about building production networks under attack. Conveyor belts carry ammunition to turrets and materials to construction, while production blocks turn resources into advanced goods. Those supply chains are not just a background economy: they support the defenses and armies needed to hold ground and push into enemy territory.
Threats arrive in waves, so players position turrets and supply them with ammunition, coolant, and power to protect the core. They can also build assembly lines for mechanized units, then command those forces against enemy bases and capture territory for more resources. The campaign spans the planets Serpulo and Erekir, with hand-made maps and procedurally generated sectors; captured sectors can produce resources while the player tackles others, with periodic invasions adding pressure to that broader plan.
Public servers, private sessions, customizable rules, and a built-in map editor round out a design that can shift from defending a carefully managed factory to competing or collaborating with other players.
