Mind Unleashed is a first-person science-fiction shooter designed for virtual reality, placing the player in the role of a robot fighting to survive inside a secret military base buried in a rocky mountain. Its mix of rugged surroundings and futuristic technology frames a solo fight against robotic enemies, with survival rather than a narrative campaign described as the central challenge.
In Arena, the objective is to defeat fifteen increasingly difficult waves and a final boss. Between cleared waves, a ten-second warning gives the player a brief chance to find health packs or ammunition. Three classes, Engineer, Assault and Specialist, offer different play styles and two abilities each. The game also describes both strategic or stealthy approaches and more direct attacks, alongside ground combat and the option to fly through the air. Special rooms provide opportunities to restock, while three areas unlock as the player progresses through the waves.
The game supports VR headsets, as well as keyboard and mouse and Xbox 360/One gamepads, according to its description. Its focus on repeated combat, class choice and VR-oriented presentation distinguishes this compact arena premise from a multiplayer shooter built around competing or cooperating players.
