Million Depth Demo follows Moma into a vast underground world in search of her friend, whom she believes is somewhere a million floors below. The setting shifts between timelines, with the truth of the world and Moma’s fate changing along with it. Clues gathered on the journey help her piece together its mysteries, while choices from her past can affect later events across timelines. The demo’s description identifies World α as its playable world and as the first of three in the full game.
Survival hinges on a device that freezes time around Moma only while she remains still, turning a dangerous encounter into a moment for planning. Weapons and shields wear down and can break, leaving her vulnerable until they are repaired. Crafting gives her another way to prepare: she combines different blocks to make two equipment pieces, including guns and shields, and can upgrade some blocks by matching them. At shops, she bargains with merchants for blocks, items, and relics, weighing the value of her offer against their mood; the underground’s Stockinum resource also changes in value.
This is a single-player strategy demo, so its format centers on one player’s decisions rather than cooperative or competitive sessions.
