Milky Way Idle is a multiplayer idle RPG that pairs familiar skill-building and monster fighting with progression planned in advance. Rather than requiring constant input, it lets players queue actions and continue making progress while offline, making it possible to fit its long-term character development around a player’s own schedule.
Its growth systems span ten non-combat skills and seven combat skills, with time and resources to allocate across them. Players gather materials, turn them into consumables and equipment, and pursue rare drops and gear enhancements. Combat can also run while a player is away: monsters, bosses, and dungeons are handled AFK, with consumables and abilities set to activate under configurable conditions. The emphasis is on choosing and arranging activities, not manually repeating every fight or resource-gathering action.
The game’s online layer gives that solo planning a social and cooperative setting. Players can trade items, form dungeon parties, join guilds, and compete on leaderboards; Steam also lists co-op and online co-op.
