Midnight Murder Club turns a mansion into a horror party game where friends conceal their identities behind masks and hunt through darkness with flashlights and revolvers. The light is a liability as well as a tool: clicking on a flashlight can reveal a player, so listening and judging when to stay hidden matter alongside aiming. Proximity chat gives that tension a social edge, carrying whispers, footsteps, gunshots, and laughter between nearby players.
Its PvP matches mix perception and sharpshooting with hazards and pickups scattered around the mansion. Players can use night vision pills, set a falling-chandelier trap, or catch an opponent in a bear trap; the range of equipment helps make each match distinct. Wildcards Mode adds rule-changing effects, with options such as changing team sizes, shooting through walls, or filling the mansion with bear traps, giving the party format room for unpredictable twists.
There is also a cooperative PvE option: Graveyard Shift pairs two players against supernatural threats as they collect golden relics and return them to a vault. Waves of enemies grow stronger the longer the team survives, making this a different kind of shared challenge from the masked rivalries. The game’s multiplayer context therefore spans both competitive matches and a smaller co-op mode, while its central appeal rests on how darkness, sound, and company turn a mansion into a setting for suspense and comedy.
