Midnight Ghost Hunt frames a haunted-house chase as a team contest between the dead and those sent to banish them. Its tone mixes spooky settings with mischievous, slapstick exchanges.
As a Ghost, you can possess ordinary furniture to hide from Hunters, then use telekinesis to make the surroundings dangerous when they look away. Supernatural abilities also include invisibility, floating objects and a ghostly haze, while perks can help a spirit spot nearby Hunters through walls or extend its possession reach. Hunters counter with detection tools such as the Spectrophone and Radar, capture equipment including traps and vacuums, and an arsenal that ranges from a Spectral Cannon to salt-spewing shotguns.
The match has a sharp reversal at midnight: Hunters become prey as Ghosts grow stronger, and the living must survive for a limited time. That shift gives the hide-and-seek premise a timed climax rather than a simple pursuit from start to finish. Maps such as an abandoned theatre, mansion and carnival offer different tactical considerations, while team communication and ability synergies make coordination part of the contest. Crossplay is also listed among the game’s features.
