Raiden’s story puts a half-human, half-cyborg ninja at the center of a fast-moving action game: once a child soldier, he now pursues vengeance with a High Frequency katana. Developed by PlatinumGames and Kojima Productions, REVENGEANCE carries the Metal Gear name into a combat-focused direction, pairing its action with an epic story rather than treating the narrative as an afterthought.
The blade is more than a weapon in the premise. A dedicated Zandatsu-style cutting emphasis is reflected in the PC version’s “ZANGEKI” option, which changes how many cuts the player can make. That focus on slicing gives the game a distinctive identity within its action framing. The PC edition also lists three DLC missions, Blade Wolf, Jetstream, and VR Missions, as well as alternate body upgrades for Raiden. Its menus let players revisit cutscenes and codec conversations, or select boss battles through the Chapter menu.
REVENGEANCE is listed as a single-player game, so its play format centers on an individual run through Raiden’s action and story, not shared multiplayer sessions.
