Memoriapolis is a historical city-building strategy game that follows a dynasty from Antiquity through the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Age of Enlightenment to the Industrial Revolution. Rather than laying out a rigid grid, players place buildings and watch the settlement expand organically into districts. The evolving architecture and challenges give the city a sense of historical change, while monuments such as the Library of Alexandria and Palace of Versailles help shape its identity.
Alongside construction, players manage resources and respond to factions with distinct personalities and demands. They can accept proposals, negotiate terms or favor one faction over another, with difficulty settings adjusting objectives, faction pressure and resource balance. The dynasty’s longer-term ambition is to reach the Industrial Revolution and complete one of three Wonders: the Eiffel Tower, Neuschwanstein Castle or the Statue of Liberty. Different maps, faction dynamics and Wonder goals support variation between runs without making every settlement follow the same pattern.
Its focus is on one player shaping a city over time, balancing its needs and steering a dynasty toward a chosen landmark.
