Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection Vol. 2 brings together six games, from both versions of Battle Network 4 through both versions of Battle Network 6. Its setting imagines a network age where people explore the internet with portable PET devices and NetNavi programs. Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, join forces to confront the network crimes that accompany this connected world.
Battles unfold on a grid, where players face enemy programs and search the net for rare BattleChips to assemble a deck of special moves. That combination gives the collection a distinctive action-RPG identity: encounters hinge on grid-based combat, while collecting chips supports the construction of a personalized set of attacks. The collection also adds a gallery of illustrations and music, alongside online play.
The six included entries span Battle Network 4, 5, and 6, with two versions represented for each, and the store lists single-player, multiplayer, and online PvP categories. Its appeal rests on the blend of a connected-world adventure, tactical grid encounters, and deck-building with BattleChips.
