Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Plus is a dark fantasy detective adventure set in Kanai Ward, a rain-soaked city under the control of a megacorporation and burdened with unsolved mysteries. Yuma, a trainee detective accompanied by Shinigami, works alongside Master Detectives whose special abilities help uncover hidden clues. The story frames its central challenge as a search for truth, moving from investigation in the city to a supernatural space shaped by each case.
Players control Yuma while questioning people and examining crime scenes to collect Solution Keys. Detectives’ Forensic Fortes, including Postcognition and Disguise, can reveal concealed evidence and testimony. Those clues then become tools in the Mystery Labyrinth, where a case’s mysteries take the form of traps and other obstacles. Its Reasoning Death Matches add fast-paced action: players dodge attacks and use a Solution Blade against a Mystery Phantom that stands in the way of solving the case.
Beyond the main cases, Kanai Ward contains Memory Shards that unlock secret memories, substories, and requests to help residents. The Plus edition also includes five substories focused on different Master Detectives, along with a gallery for cinematics and music, giving the detective cast space beyond Yuma’s central investigation.
