Madness Cubed frames its online shooter battles as a fight to protect a base from zombies, demons, and robots. Players can build and dig to shape defenses, then arrange fortifications and traps as threats close in. That combination of shooting and construction gives its survival premise a hands-on, tactical edge: the battlefield is not just a place to fight, but something players can alter.
Its arsenal includes more than 40 guns, along with turrets and vehicles such as tanks, helicopters, and quad bikes. The game also features changing times of day, character costumes, and an editor for building maps to play with friends. Rather than limiting combat to one format, Madness Cubed lists survival, free-for-all, team, and domination modes, with multiplayer supporting up to 16 players.
Alongside online battles, the game describes eight episodes comprising 12 missions, involving zombie threats, powerful bosses, lost technologies, and laboratory survival.
