Lunar Mirror: The Pavilion of Desire follows an ordinary college student whose girlfriend has left him at a remote archaeological school. He enters a masked party there, but the gathering’s purpose is uncertain: the story asks what lies upstairs, where the missing girlfriend is held, and whether the event is really a selection. This gives the adventure a mystery-driven setup rooted in the world of Lunar Mirror.
The masks make the party’s danger tangible: losing one means losing everything. The game also includes a large number of minigames, adding varied activities to the protagonist’s passage through the gathering. Its central tension is between the hope of uncovering the organizer and the suspicion that the student is being drawn toward a trap prepared in advance. The narrative also follows different girls who are lured into the abyss, widening the story beyond the student’s own predicament.
Listed as a single-player adventure, the game is framed around an individual’s descent into the Hall of Desire rather than a shared party experience.
