Lost Ruins follows a young schoolgirl who wakes in a dangerous underground maze with no memory of her past. Rescued by the mysterious magician Beatrice, she explores the ruins in search of answers, while Beatrice’s own motives remain uncertain.
Combat is deliberate and strategic, with several ways to handle threats: strike with swords, axes, and other medieval weapons, cast spells through wands, tonics, and scrolls, or deflect enemy projectiles. Magic supports both offense and survival, including freezing bosses and healing when danger closes in. Accessories add another layer of preparation, offering effects such as fire protection or recovery from poison, with combinations that can open different strategic options.
The dungeon itself is part of the combat puzzle. Flammable liquids ignite when they meet lit lanterns, while ice magic freezes water, turning environmental details into tactical opportunities as well as hazards. That interplay between equipment, spells, and surroundings gives Lost Ruins its distinctive methodical feel: progress depends not only on attacking monsters, but on choosing how to use the tools and conditions around the heroine.
