In Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, a woman accepts an invitation from an eccentric man to take part in a project at an old hotel somewhere in central Europe. The setting becomes the scene of a game of illusions that grows increasingly dangerous and surreal, drawing the player into the mystery alongside its protagonist.
Its defining activity is solving a large collection of handcrafted puzzles. The game continually presents new riddles, with each one bringing the player closer to deciphering the enigma at its center. That puzzle-led structure makes progress about interpreting clues and working through successive challenges, rather than simply following a linear sequence of events.
The nonlinear mystery and single-player format frame the game as an individual investigation, not a shared or competitive session.
