Grimm and Rose, a pair of grim reapers, face monsters, ghosts, and evil bunnies in a turn-based RPG built around forming words. Each battle puts linguistic skill to practical use: spell words to fight, earn gems, then spend them on upgrades, books, special items, and potions. That link between vocabulary and survival gives the game its distinctive shape, making word choice the central combat activity rather than a side puzzle.
The remastered edition adds an Endless Mode, where players select a character, weapon, background art, music, and letter tiles and see how long they can survive. Its broader design also includes 70 quests, animated enemies and shopkeepers, and a built-in dictionary of more than 192,000 English words. Players can enter words with a keyboard as well as use touchscreen controls, while the game’s high-resolution artwork and soundtrack frame its playful battles.
As a single-player experience, Letter Quest is designed around individual progress through its quests and survival-focused Endless Mode, rather than shared sessions.
