LET IT DIE: INFERNO sends Raiders into Hell Gate, a vast chasm where they seek SPLithium while battling monstrous Yuckies and hostile Yotsuyama forces. The premise mixes a survival expedition with a cycle of repeated descents: Raiders can return after death, but each run risks the equipment they carry and even their current Body. That danger gives scavenging a sharp trade-off, since valuable finds can help prepare for later attempts but can also be lost along the way.
The structure is built around variation and adaptation. Enemy placements and loot are randomized between explorations, while weapon and armor traits can produce different buffs and attacks. Raiders bring distinct skills, powerful abilities and passives; Mastery Points earned during runs can improve a Body, and Mastery Switch lets players shift among eight Bodies. Returned items and equipment can also be used to craft weapons and armor, tying each expedition to longer-term preparation. The game further describes world reincarnation on a set schedule, with resets affecting story progress, rank, inventory and masteries, while listing Death Metal and some purchased or edition-related elements as exceptions.
Its play formats span solo expeditions, co-op with a friend, and the competitive PvP mode Death Jamboree.
