LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2 builds its adventure around a collision of Marvel characters from different eras and realities. The time-traveling Kang the Conqueror is the central foe, while heroes and villains including Spider-Man, the Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor, Hulk, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Doctor Strange enter a cosmic battle in Chronopolis. Its premise gives the roster a shared destination without limiting the story to one corner of the Marvel universe.
The game’s time-spanning setting shapes its concrete attractions: players travel between places such as Ancient Egypt, the Old West, Sakaar, and New York City in 2099, and can transport objects or characters through the centuries. That mix of locations and time travel makes the adventure’s design about moving across sharply different settings as well as bringing recognizable characters together.
