LEGO® City Undercover puts players in the role of Chase McCain, a police officer going undercover to pursue escaped criminal Rex Fury and stop a city-wide crime wave. Its comic tone pairs an original story with the familiar LEGO sense of humor, giving the investigation a playful identity rather than a grim police-procedural feel.
The adventure unfolds across an open-world metropolis with more than 20 districts to investigate. Players can pursue car thieves, drive vehicles, uncover movie references and collect hundreds of items, so crime-fighting shares space with exploration and light-hearted diversions. The mix of a central pursuit and a wide range of city activities is what distinguishes its design.
The game supports both single-player and two-player cooperative play, including shared or split-screen play.
