Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager casts you as an employee of a dungeons company, tasked with defending its treasures from adventurers. Its premise flips the usual dungeon-crawling perspective: rather than guiding heroes through danger, you prepare the dungeon to stop them. The career framing also brings workplace trouble into the fantasy, with employee strikes and other events among the challenges to manage.
Each defense begins with planning. You inspect the approaching adventurers’ stats and resistances, then choose traps and monsters to position against them. As the heroes move through the dungeon, they trigger your traps; when they meet a group of your monsters, combat unfolds in turn-based battles. Between these defensive phases, the management side asks you to hire monsters and oversee employees and trap supplies, making the game a blend of tactical preparation and resource oversight rather than a straightforward crawl.
The roguelite structure means each run differs, while some Master bonuses carry over between runs. Its distinctive hook is the reversal of the dungeon-crawler role, backed by a mix of trap placement, monster deployment and turn-based encounters.
