Karate Survivor casts players as a martial arts master facing goons and bandits in a survivor-like roguelite inspired by 1980s action movies. Its street battles center on improvisation: ordinary surroundings become part of the fight, giving the game a scrappy, cinematic identity rather than relying solely on conventional martial-arts attacks.
Objects can be turned against enemies, with examples ranging from plastic flamingos and mop handles to a microwave door or falling scaffolding. Players can also combine attacks into sequences of up to six moves, experimenting with different combinations to suit their fighting style. The action is described as fast-paced, and each location brings its own features and combat items before a boss encounter tests the player’s skills.
Between runs, collected experience unlocks permanent techniques and skills, connecting short bouts of combat to longer-term mastery.
