KAKU: Ancient Seal is an open-world action RPG set in a primordial fantasy world shaped by the elemental power of the Creator Saga. After a calamity scatters elemental souls and divides the world into four continents, young Kaku and Piggy, his flying-pig companion, set out to find them. Their journey also pursues the truth behind the disaster and the mystery of their own origins, giving exploration a story-driven purpose.
Combat is built around player-chosen combinations rather than a single prescribed style. Kaku can develop abilities across diverse skill branches, pair equipment with Rune Stones, and use elemental pellets for their effects against enemies. The game also features a transformation tied to the Creator Saga’s power and Musou combat, adding another form of spectacle to encounters. Outside battles, ancient ruins offer puzzles and obstacles, with rewards for navigating their challenges.
The adventure ranges across elemental regions, including snowy expanses and misty swamps, as well as wilderness, caves, and ruins. Piggy is more than a traveling companion: the game describes abilities for the flying pig and a bond at the heart of the journey.
