In Just King, you play as a king seeking to reunite a troubled land by challenging the fearsome regents who rule its realms. The adventure centers on assembling a party of heroes, with each realm offering its own enemies and a powerful opponent at the end of the zone. Its fantasy quest is paired with a light role-playing touch: non-combat encounters let heroes respond in their own ways, accompanied by a short account of how things went.
Combat is an action autobattler, but not a hands-off one. Heroes fight automatically while you decide where to position the party, making formation the key tactical choice described for battles. Build a team of four from a roster of 33 distinct heroes, pair their synergies, and level them to unlock abilities. Rewards from defeated enemies can go toward upgrades and legendary items, helping prepare the group for tougher hordes and each zone’s regent.
The structure supports different approaches to a run: zones can be replayed individually, while Endless Mode links all zones with scaling difficulty. Players can also choose a difficulty and apply modifiers to make a run easier or more demanding.
