JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R turns Hirohiko Araki’s vivid manga world into a character-driven fighting game. Its roster draws 50 playable characters from across the series’ arcs, including Jonathan Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, DIO and Jolyne Cujoh. The game also sets characters from different universes against one another, giving its battles a broad, cross-generational cast.
Combat builds on the 2014 All Star Battle system, with adjustments to fighting tempo and the addition of hit stops and jump dashes. Those touches sit within a presentation designed to evoke JoJo’s expressive artwork, pairing forceful visuals with manga-inspired graphics and text. New audio recordings by Part 6 anime voice actors further connect the game’s presentation to the animated series.
All Star Battle is the central story-focused offering, with more than 100 battles under varied settings and conditions, while Online and Versus provide distinct multiplayer options. The result is a game that combines solo progression, training and head-to-head play rather than centering on a single format.
