INTERSHELTER frames survival as a race from a collapsing world into one of a handful of rescue capsules. Its post-apocalyptic setting draws on the fictional Dome project and the uncertain remnants of Dark Sky, an orbital-colony program whose traces persist in shelters and laboratories. That backdrop gives the match a clear purpose: escape the storm, rather than simply outlast opponents.
Each match begins with players sharing the same stats, then scavenging randomly spawned weapons, armor and batteries. The central task is to open a shelter by finding and setting up two batteries, reach a capsule, and get rescued before the storm arrives. Shelters contain a varying number of capsules, and players can form groups of up to four in the lobby. With no conventional inventory, characters carry their gear; weapon slots are limited, so taking another weapon means replacing one already equipped. Ammunition and medical kits are exempt from weight limits.
The premise is not just survival in the abstract; it is a scramble to secure the resources and shelter needed to leave the storm behind.
