Innoquous 5 builds its puzzle-platforming around a simple goal with an unusual spatial twist: reach each level’s exit by changing which way gravity pulls. Gravity arrows and flippers rotate gravity, opening alternate routes through obstacle-filled stages. Rather than relying on a single obvious path, the game sets players to finding shortcuts and devising different strategies for its varied puzzles.
The game offers six modes across its levels, reshaping the task beyond simply reaching the exit. Bunny Hunt sends players looking for a hidden crate-bound bunny, Conditional imposes a restriction that can force a new route, and Time Limit rewards speed with medals. Fiery Floors adds flooring and obstacles, while Chaser puts a deadly clone one second behind; Standard keeps the objective direct. Speedrun and Permadeath group levels into longer tests of pace or survival, and secret notes in the new levels contribute lines to a poem about the game’s strange world.
A built-in level creator extends the puzzle format, letting players place game obstacles and set objectives; custom stages can also be shared through Steam Workshop. The result is a platformer whose defining appeal lies in repeatedly rethinking how to cross a level, not merely in reaching its exit.
