Infinitode 2 frames its tower defense around an AI training program: the player protects a base from endless enemy waves while gradually uncovering towers, abilities and resource-mining options. Its map structure combines six stages and more than fifty levels with a level editor, so the experience spans authored challenges as well as opportunities to create maps. Chiptune music and stage-ending bosses add distinct touches to that progression.
The strategic choices reach beyond placing defenses. The game lists more than fifteen tower types, each with different characteristics and skills, and towers gain experience that lets players choose abilities. Upgrades can raise towers to level ten, while modifiers strengthen nearby defenses or improve mining. Research adds another layer, with hundreds of technologies for unlocking abilities and improving tower statistics; mining resources during levels feeds that longer-term development. An Endless mode offers an endless research tree, extending the upgrade system beyond the listed stage-and-level structure.
Custom maps can also produce resources, and the game supports crafting, detailed match statistics and live leaderboards for each level. The listed cloud saves and mobile synchronization accompany that progression, while trophies and leaderboard prizes provide additional goals.
