Incremental Cubes builds its premise around collecting cubes, defeating enemies, and advancing through tiers. Its simple central task is paired with a progression loop in which falling cubes can be improved: each cube has an upgrade that reduces the interval between drops. The result, as described, is an incremental game shaped by both accumulation and combat rather than collection alone.
Combat feeds into a separate growth system. Attacking enemies earns skill points, which can be spent on skills arranged in a 3D-like tree; as progress continues, helpers arrive to collect cubes and attack enemies automatically. Periodic boss encounters add another milestone: defeating a boss changes the current cube into a larger one and awards more skill points than usual. Challenge mode also unlocks during progression, with cleared challenges granting bonuses to support further advancement.
Prestige provides a deliberate reset within that climb, wiping progress in exchange for a dramatic boost.
