Imperial Glory frames its conflict around a Europe shaped by Enlightenment ideas, competing empires and ambitions of freedom and glory. The player takes the role of a military strategist seeking a lasting name through the struggle for domination. Its setting reaches beyond the continent itself, encompassing provinces in both Europe and North Africa.
The design combines turn-based territorial management with real-time battles on land and at sea. Its campaign map covers more than 50 provinces, while battlefields give units tactical terrain to exploit: they can seek higher ground, take cover or make use of formations. That pairing gives the game two distinct strategic scales, from managing a broad regional contest to directing forces during engagements.
The store lists both single-player and multiplayer, so Imperial Glory is not described as a campaign-only experience.
