Immortal Family casts you as the founder of a cultivation family, beginning with a small island and the ambition to grow into a lasting power. Its setting evokes a scattered sea of islands shared by ordinary people and cultivators, where families and sects compete for influence. Expansion means more than claiming territory: your clan must protect the people under its care and contend with sea monsters and rival forces.
Family lineage is central to the design. You choose a distinctive bloodline for your clan, which you carry yourself and which may appear among descendants, and set the generational naming pattern across eighteen generations. Characters are also linked through relationships including parents, partners, disciples, teachers, friends, sects, and family. These systems make the fortunes of the clan a matter of inheritance and social ties as well as individual cultivation.
Island conflict sits alongside a broad range of cultivation-themed pursuits, including crafting weapons, brewing pills, making talismans, raising spirit beasts, forming arrays, farming, and mining. The map is randomly generated anew each time, so nearby islands may hold monster lairs, hostile sects, mineral resources, or hidden realms. That combination gives each clan a different local landscape to navigate while it builds influence through careful management and alliances.
